Swoop is hitting the road in style with the first vehicle from the University of Utah’s Red Metal Motors initiative.
Red Metal Motors is a University-created program that celebrates school spirit, craftsmanship, and student impact—all while driving University of Utah support within the community.
Each vehicle in the Red Metal Motors series is a custom-built, University-owned creation designed to appear at parades, community events, and special campus celebrations. These unique rides showcase the University’s pride and creativity while connecting students, alumni, and fans in a distinctive way, creating a lasting cycle of opportunity, engagement, and innovation.

Swoop is hitting the road in style with a vehicle from Red Metal Motors. This custom ride is designed for parades, community events, and special appearances. This unique set of wheels isn’t just for show; it’s built to bring energy, excitement, and school spirit wherever Swoop goes!
But the journey doesn’t end there. Swoop will continue to tour his one-of-a-kind ride Red Betty around Utah, making memories with fans along the way and building a lasting legacy for the truck.
Red Betty's Journey
Since her debut at the 2025 Days of '47 Parade, Red Betty's first year on the road has been nothing short of remarkable. Serving as the flagship vehicle of the University of Utah's Red Metal Motors program, Betty has represented the university at major events ranging from local Salt Lake Valley parades in South Jordan, Draper, Riverton, and Bountiful, to nationally recognized showcases such as SEMA 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and ESPN College GameDay before Utah took on Cincinnati in November 2025. Betty's presence at the Utah International Auto Expo and AutoRama SLC in early 2026 further connected the program with automotive enthusiasts and industry professionals, while expanding awareness of the university initiative. Together, these appearances have helped establish Red Betty as an iconic ambassador for innovation, craftsmanship, and the University of Utah spirit.

We specialize in custom and classics with a special emphasis in classic Ford Broncos. We manufacture new tubs and bodies for the classic Broncos and offer full paint services for them as well. We are a full-service mechanic shop as well. We can perform most motor swaps and conversions and have done many 5.0L Coyote swaps in the Broncos and also have experience with the 392 Hemi conversion.
